On Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd August 2023, the Mahe Shipping team executed the process of cautiously loading two vehicles into separate containers which required a few crucial steps. Once both vehicles were securely placed in the containers and their batteries disconnected, the process of car lashing followed whereby multiple equipment, inclusive of lashing belts were used to intensify the security with the aim of preventing both vehicles from moving and causing damage, which was further emphasized with the use of chocks made from wood, bolted to the floor.
Once the above was completed and a verification by the Surveyor was done, our team proceeded with placing container airbags. A final verification was then done by representatives from Customs to affirm that both containers met all the compulsory security-related guidelines. Are you exporting your vehicle? Mahe Shipping takes care of all the procedures from collecting your vehicle at your residence until it is loaded in the container and ready to be exported.
