The seismic vessel Polarcus Adira arrived at Port Victoria on 9 December 2012 to commence a 70 day seismic programmeon Seychelles waters. The 3D survey will be done southwest of Mahe in an area covering some 600 square kilometres. This will be followed by a survey northwest of Mahe in an area of 2,750 square kilometres.
Polarcus Adira is a ultra-modern, super high ice class, seismic vessel combining the latest developments in maritime systems with the most advanced seismic technology. The vessel is also amongst the most environmentally sound seismic vessels in the market with dieselelectric propulsion, high specification catalytic convertors, double hull and advanced ballast water treatment & bilge water cleaning systems.
