The cruiseship Aurora called at Port Victoria on Monday 28 March 2016. It is the longest ship of its kind to ever berth at Mahé quay. Launched in 2001, Aurora is one of the largest ships in the P&O Cruises fleet with an overall length of 273 metres. At maximum capacity the ship can accommodate up to 1,878 passengers in 939 cabins.
Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St Ange, Seychelles Ports Authority CEO Colonel Andre Ciseau visited the ship during the call. In the photo below, Lynze Marimba of Mahe Shipping Company, makes a presentation to Captain Peter Philpott to mark the occasion.
